NORWAY — The Western Maine Art Group begins its summer season with a First Friday Reception July 2 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The reception will be held at the Main Street Gallery, 426 Main Street, in Norway. The gallery exhibits the work of fine artists and artisans living and working in Western Maine.

The featured artist for the month of July at the Western Maine Art Group’s Main Street Gallery is Janet Larsen-Healey of Waterford.  She studied art at Paier College of Art in Hamden, Connecticut, and later with local artists Lynn Driscoll and Michael Ranucci.

Ms. Larsen-Healey joined the Western Maine Art Group in 2020.  Her paintings are realistic and detailed.  She prefers to paint still life oil paintings, graphite drawings, and watercolors.

The Main Street Gallery is open Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 to 5, and Saturdays from 10 to 2.
