LEWISTON — Keegan McLaughlin struck out six in six scoreless innings and Pastime Club jumped out to a big lead after one inning before going on to a 9-1 win over Tidewater Oil in a senior American Legion baseball game Thursday.

Andon Cox’s first of two hits in the game, a bases-loaded triple, did much of the damage in the first inning. Damon Bossie and Luke Josephson both doubled for Pastime (3-0), with Bossie scoring three times and driving in a run and Josephson scoring twice. Michael Dymkoski had two RBIs.

Belfast-based Tidewater, which was held to two hits, scored its lone run on a sacrifice fly.
