The State field day of the Daughters of the Revolution will be held at New Meadows Inn, Thursday, July 14. All members of the Dillingham Post who plan to attend are requested to notify Regent Mrs. A.M. Penley as soon as possible.
50 Years Ago: 1971
Mrs. John M. Beale of Auburn and Bernard Carpenter of Lewiston are among those connected with arrangements for the performance at Bates College Little Theater, on July 11, of the Bay Festival String Quartet and Andrew Wolf, pianist. Mrs. Beale represents the YWCA, which through its board is serving as one of the sponsors for the Sunday evening concert. Mr. Carpenter is business manager and assistant treasurer of Bates College which is making the Little Theater facilities available for the program. Tickets for the concert are available from Mrs. William Lewis, Mrs. Jack O Smith, Mrs. Burton Wilner, Mrs. Kenneth Orr, Mrs. Carleton Ring, Mrs. Carroll Taylor, Mrs. Thomas Shapiro, Mrs. G. Curtis Webber, Mrs. Charles H. Abbott, Miss Mary D. Kenney and Mrs. Louis Scolnick.

The Edward Little High School class of 1958 will hold its third annual picnic Saturday noon at the home of Paul and Frances Lodge, Route 124, West Minot. Those attending should bring a picnic lunch, lawn chairs, photos and school memorabilia. The event will be held rain or shine.
