Bella Lambert of Lewiston gives her uncle, Tadd Jacobs, a manicure Sunday at her house in Lewiston. The 8-year-old decided to create the fundraiser to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a pediatric treatment and research facility focused on children’s catastrophic diseases, particularly leukemia and other cancers, in Memphis, Tennessee. Lambert allows people to choose their own colors. “I don’t want to be bossy,” Lambert says. “If a person wants glitter on only one finger, that’s OK.” With her mother’s help, Lambert got the word out and they were busy for several hours.
