LEWISTON Gertrude “Gert” Voisine 78,  returned to the house of the lord on July 15, 2021 after a  brave battle with Alzheimers. Born in the Cote’s Ice Cream Dairy farmhouse on College Rd.  on August 29,1942 with her grandmother as midwife, to Marcel and Helena Cote. Educated in Catholic and public schools, went on to the mills with her sisters to join the generation that built this city. Gert married the love of her life Nelson Voisine in 1967 and gave birth to their only child Michael, of Lewiston in 1969.

One of the finest stitchers that made products known around the world such as Supreme Slippers and Bates beadspreads, Gert retired from Albarrie Technical Fabrics ofLewiston to spend time with her pride and joy, grandson Konnor Voisine of Lewiston. Gert was a true angel on earth. A devout catholic who stayed true to her vows.
