The good news is that the state of Maine has done quite well in surviving these difficult times. At this time, it appears our continued recovery looks positive.

The not-so-good news is that Paul LePage has decided to run for governor again. Apparently he has been upset about Gov. Janet Mills’ decision making, and in his mind he can make everything right again. If it’s not broken, he still wants to fix it.

The Republicans now want to be known as the party of fiscal responsibility. It sounds good, and the hope is people are naïve and believe it.

It’s amazing how many people are so gullible that they still believe the lies of the past. This is why the party is so confident that it is challenging the cost of funding that would help the economy grow and make our country a safer place to live. Also as the increase in voter suppression laws has been very rewarding; it enhances the party’s success at the polls.

While LePage is making appearances touting the Republican questionable achievements, he will continue to try to justify the party’s opposition to even common sense proposals. We will once again be subjected to his abrasive, arrogant, condescending and sarcastic demeanor.

Unlike fine wine, as LePage ages he seems to become more bitter and very difficult to swallow.
