Edwin H. Record

SOUTH PARIS – Edwin H. Record passed away at his home on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021. He was born on Oct. 22, 1925, to Herman and Florence (Cotton) Record in South Paris. Edwin attended South Paris Schools and worked at A.C. Lawrence as a shipper for 30 years. Later, he worked at Norway Savings Bank as a custodian.

Edwin was a member of the Oxford County Raccoon Hunters Club. He enjoyed trapping, hunting, buying/trading fur, fishing and tending his gardens of flowers and vegetables and he especially loved going “upta camp” on Aziscohos Lake.

He was always known as the “pumpkin man” on the hill, selling his pumpkins every fall.

He is survived by his son, Brad Record and “daughter in law” Wendy Jensen of South Paris; daughter-in-law, Julie Record; grandchildren, Shane and wife Artemis, Jenny and husband Casey, and Linsey and her wife Alison, and stepgrandchild Catherine Corson; great grandchildren Benjamin Record, Jackson Fitts, Casey Grover Jr., Kamryn Grover, Della June Grover and Dakota and Deven Rogers; stepgreat-grandchild Oden Corson.

He was predeceased by his wife, Leatrice; son, Douglas; siblings, Howard, Iva, Lottie, Olive, Ruth, Marion and “Bud” Carroll.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
