AUBURN — Maine Drug Enforcement agents and local police officers arrested three local people Monday as part of an investigation into complaints of drug activity.
Auburn police, with assistance from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Lewiston Police Department, executed a search warrant at a home on Jefferson Street. They seized 8 grams of crack cocaine, 38 grams of fentanyl and an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency suspected to be the proceeds of illegal drug trafficking, according to a statement from the Auburn Police Department.
They also arrested and charged Angel Cabrera-Nunez, 29, with aggravated trafficking of schedule W drugs; Emily Benoit, 26, with unlawful possession of schedule W drugs; and Chelsey Edmonds, 23, with violation of conditional release. All three are Auburn residents, according to police.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
