NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce the landscaping beautification project at its headquarters on 261 Main Street in Norway will be completed September 1. The construction, which spanned three-and-a-half months, transformed the exterior of the Main and Danforth Street sides of the building, with beautiful landscaping and an incredible new public space.

The public is invited to attend a dedication ceremony on September 2, at 1 p.m. to see three unique sculptures, designed by renowned Maine artist, Jac Ouellette unveiled. Dan Walsh, president and Pat Weigel, CEO of Norway Savings Bank will speak and attendees will enjoy ice cream, compliments of the bank (while supplies last)! Cool Treats For Charity, a local nonprofit ice cream cart will provide the treats. The bank will make donations to Alan Day Community Garden, The Progress Center and Short Folks for Hope Foundation for every ice cream given away! Rain date: September 3rd at 1 pm.

We are thankful to local contractors Bruce Korhonen, Korhonen Company LLC; Dave Kenney, Kenney Property Maintenance LLC; Dennis Fournier, DR Fournier, Inc; Heath Poland, Flanders Electric; and Mason Olmstead, Pine Tree Paving. While the project took longer than we anticipated due to weather challenges and supply availability, the quality of their workmanship was excellent. We are also grateful to Patrick Carroll, Carroll Associates Landscape Architects for creating the beautiful design for the project.”

The new outdoor space features granite benches, paver walkways and the Bank has also provisioned for future electric vehicle charging stations.
