DEAR SUN SPOTS: An Angel’s Wing Inc. is proud to present “Putting on the Ritz — a Gala of Glitter and Glitz — a Dazzling Affair” on Oct. 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. We need volunteers, auction items, donations of services and entertainment.

Every year we come together for an evening of grandeur, entertainment, remembrance and, of course, fundraising. This year’s gala includes a spectacular buffet, cash bar, keynote speakers, silent auction, and music and dancing. Come in your most sparkly formal attire for a Best Dressed Contest and be ready for a surprise or two.

AAW’s mission is to insure each person has every opportunity available to live, learn and recover from substance use disorder with access to education, detoxification, rehabilitation and employment. AAW has been a beacon of hope for those who suffer from substance abuse syndrome and their families since it was established in 2017.

With the help of our community and through our thrift store and bakery, in the past year we have assisted individuals in finding detox and residential treatment facilities, financially supported recovery medication, counseling and basic needs, and promoted awareness in a variety of ways. This year, AAW expanded with programming to provide Narcan and necessary training in connection with some of our stellar community partners.

Our purpose is to promote immediate access to recovery options, reduce barriers and create an understanding community empowered to support change. Last year was incredibly difficult for us all so your support is critical. Limited resources are available for those seeking help and the stigma makes those resources even harder to obtain.

There are many ways you can join this year’s gala festivities and one of them is with sponsorship. An Angel Sponsorship of $3,000 includes a table seating of eight, top logo on all print advertising, mention in any radio/press advertising, profile on gala programs and signs, website and Facebook advertisement regarding partnership on the event and a front-page collaboration article in our newsletter. This level of donation could secure a placement for a rehabilitation bed for a person in need.

A Gold Sponsorship of $2,000 includes six tickets to the gala, logo on all print and press advertising, programs and signs, website, Facebook and newsletter advertisement. This level of donation could secure treatment and sober living for a month for a person in need.

A Silver Sponsorship of $1,000 includes four tickets to the gala, logo on printed gala information, website, and Facebook and newsletter mentions. This level of donation could secure therapy and medication for a month for a person in need.

A Bronze Sponsorship of $500 includes two tickets to the gala, logo on gala printed material and website, and Facebook and newsletter mentions. This level of donation could secure therapy for a month for a person in need.

Individual tickets are $75. If you aren’t able to attend, consider purchasing a ticket for an individual in the recovery community to attend. If you would like to treat family, friends or your employees to a fun night supporting the community, consider purchasing a table seating of eight for $500.
