The Franco-American Education Foundation has awarded $67,000 in scholarship funds to graduates from Lewiston, Auburn, and surrounding area high schools.

Lewiston High School: Sydney Roy, Chloe Bilodeau, Julia Paquette, Kate Bilodeau, Ariana Vallee, Olivia Deschenes, Gemma Landry, Isabella Dube, Katherine Morin, Abigail Heutz, Elias Doucette-St. Onge, Miranda Heutz, Bryce Dufour and Madison Laflamme.

St. Dominic Academy: Lucy Frenette, Matthew Gosselin, Amelia Fortin, Grace Girardin and Lauren Theriault.

Edward Little High School: Caroline Tracey, William Cassidy, Ema Lamontagne and Sophie Therrien.

Leavitt Area High School: Ethan Rombalski, Louise Groover and Marley Coburn.

Oak Hill High School: Riley Worth.

The foundation has also awarded $166,750 to students presently attending college in their sophomore, junior and senior years.

Initially funded by a gift from Georgianna and Lucien Martin, the foundation was created by Attorney Robert Couturier to provide scholarship assistance to area high school graduates of Franco-American heritage to help them further their studies at colleges, universities and vocational schools.
