WINTHROP — Maddie Perkins’ four goals paced Winthrop to an 8-0 MVC field hockey win over Oak Hill on Wednesday.

Bella Littler added two goals and two assists, Lauryn Wood scored twice and Madeline Wagner notched two assists for the Ramblers (3-0), who also got three saves from Elle Folsom for the shutout.

Sierra Lane stopped 26 shots in net for the Raiders (1-2).

LEWISTON 1, LEAVITT 0, 2OT: Ahna Dostie’s double-overtime game-winning goal gave the Blue Devils (1-1) a thrilling win over the Hornets (1-1) in Lewiston.

Dostie’s game-winner was set up by sophomore Reese Maynard. Lewiston goalie Kimberly McLaughlin stopped all 14 shots she faced.

Leavitt’s Page DeMascio made five saves, and, according to Lewiston coach Jenessa Talarico, Hornets midfielder Eve Martineau “had a great performance.”

DIRIGO 6, LISBON 0: Emily Woods scored a hat trick for the Cougars (1-1), who jumped on the Greyhounds (0-2-1) early for an MVC win at Dixfield.

Jayce Brophy pitched in with a goal and three assists, Grace Robbins scored twice and Alyvia Perreault also had an assist for Dirigo, which led 3-0 after one quarter. Alyvia Ellis (four) and Kiera Kelley (one) split time in the Cougars’ net.

Maria Levesque made one save in goal for Lisbon.

MOUNTAIN VALLEY 2, HALL-DALE 0: Taylor Duguay and Autumn Freeman each scored in the Falcons’ win over the Bulldogs at Rumford.

Mallorie Bourret and Alivia Knox had assists for Mountain Valley (3-0) and Brooke Brown made two saves in the win.

Kelsey Cormier stopped 18 shots for Hall-Dale (0-1).

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 8, TELSTAR 2: Mariyah Fournier, Paris Howes and Ella Plourde scored two goals apiece in the Phoenix’s win over the Rebels in Jay.

Plourde also assisted on three goals and Howes set up two. Hannah Jewett and Kaila Godbey each added a goal for Spruce Mountain (1-1-1)

Addie Charette and Maya Taylor both scored a goal for Telstar (0-3).

BOYS SOCCER
BUCKFIELD 3, DIRIGO 1: Hunter Driscoll netted a hat trick to lift the host Bucks (3-0) past the Cougars (0-1) at Buckfield.

Zach Shields and Trevin Albert each notched assists and Gavin Charest made five saves for Buckfield, which was tied 1-1 at half.

Dalton Hodgkins scored from Hunter Berry for Dirigo, and Loegan Hodgkins stopped 14 shots in goal.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Lucas Towers had a goal and two assists for the Phoenix in the win over the Falcons in Jay.

Owen Bryant, Joel Thornton, Kaleb Finelli and Nate Holland also scored while Jesse Lewis had an assist for Spruce Mountain (1-1). Jacob Bryant made four saves in goal.

Tanner Henry scored the lone goal for Mountain Valley (0-1) and Andrew Crews made 15 saves in the loss.

SACOPEE VALLEY 3, POLAND 2: Mitchell Bean and Breck Langevin scored for the Knights (0-2) in a WMC loss to the Hawks (2-0) at Hiram.

MT. ABRAM 3, LISBON 0: The Roadrunners pulled away after leading by one at halftime to earn the MVC win over the Greyhounds at Salem.

Sean Moore made eight saves for Lisbon, including an initial stop on a Morgan Thibodeau penalty kick that Thibodeau followed for the lone first-half goal.

In the second half, Charlie Pye scored from Thibodeau and Kaden Pillsbury finished from Cam Walters. Ian Allen secured the shutout in goal for Mt. Abram.

“I thought our team played very hard and was proud of their effort,” Lisbon coach Shawn Rhoda said. “Mt. Abram is a good team and we look forward to playing them again later on in the season. Credit to Mt. Abram’s defense. They are very good.”

GIRLS SOCCER
CAMDEN HILLS 1, MT. BLUE 0: Britta Denny scored from Sidney Stone with 8.5 seconds left in the first half for the game’s only goal in the Windjammers’ KVAC win at Rockport.

Maddy Tohhanson made two saves to secure the shutout for Camden Hills (2-0), while Caitlin Burke stopped 15 shots for the Cougars (1-1).

FIELD HOCKEY
COLBY 5, UM-FARMINGTON 1: The Mules (2-0) picked up a win against the Beavers (2-2) at Waterville behind two goals and an assist from Lillian Kistner.

Sandrine Brien, Megan Rittenhouse and Pernilla Shaw also scored  for Colby and Jackie Hill notched an assist. Emily Loeb made two saves in net.

Alex Bessey scored for UNF. Goalkeepers Grace DiMarco and Katelyn Rouleau combined for seven saves.

Bessey entered tonight’s game ranked third in NCAA Division III in goals per game; she added to her tally with a score against the Mules. She now has six goals this season.
