PARIS — Romano Bassa scored a hat trick to lead a lethal and balanced Lewiston offense in a 14-2 KVAC boys soccer victory over Oxford Hills on Thursday.

Moses Lumu and Shafi Ibrahim both scored two goals for the Blue Devils (2-0), who also got goals from David Omasombo, Khalid Hersi, Hamza Nur, David Abdi, Igor Domingues, Abdihakim Daud and Mohamed Gabow. Hersi and Nur added two assists each, with Lewiston getting nine assists total. Tanner Anctil and Payson Goyette combined to make three saves.

The Vikings (0-2-1) got goals from Cole Pulkkinen and Andrew Merrill, while Emmett Hand made five saves in goal.

LAKE REGION 3, LEWISTON 0: Phoebe Payne’s 21 digs were key in Lake Region’s victory over Lewiston in Naples.

Corrie Turentine and Sabrina Lopez each had six kills for the Lakers (1-2), who swept the sets 25-13, 25-11, 25-17.

For the Blue Devils (0-2), Sage Cormier had three aces and one kill, Isabel Tillier-Munoz had a kill and an assist and Abi Beaucage added two kills.

Lake Region also won the JV matchup, sweeping a pair of sets 25-6, 25-13.
