A “3-T Auction” is planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Oxford Advent Christian Church, at 1130 Main St. in Oxford.

Proceeds from the event will benefit an upcoming mission trip to San Felipe, Mexico.  The event will begin with a free meal of beans, hot dogs, coleslaw and dinner rolls. The auction will begin at 6 p.m.

Items to be auctioned off will consist of talents, treats and treasures. Some are homemade items, household treasures, artwork, handmade talents, handmade decorations, and sweet treats such as pies, nisu, cakes and cookies.

Additional donations to be auctioned off can be brought in the night of the auction.

The church plans to send a team of local people from various churches to San Felipe’s 99 plus 1 Ministry compound from Oct. 26 to Nov. 4. The mission team will provide assistance to people in need in the area, work in people’s homes to provide electrical, plumbing and carpentry repairs, and offer vision testing and support to the rehabilitation centers, orphanage, senior centers and school.

People can bring a donation of new men’s and women’s underwear and socks to be distributed to the various centers.

Those wishing to make donations to the mission may do so by mailing a check payable to OACC “Mexico Mission 2021” 1130 Main St. Oxford, Maine 04270.
