LISBON — Haley Jane Tuplin scored off a pass from Reesa Potvin to break a scoreless tie with 3:17 remaining in the first overtime, giving the Lisbon field hockey team its first win of the season, 1-0 over Oak Hill, on Monday.

Lisbon (1-2-1) goalie Maria Levesque had 10 saves. Oak Hill’s (1-3) stopped five shots.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2, BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 1, OT: Paris Howes scored in overtime to give the Phoenix their second win of the season by outlasting the Seahawks in Jay.

Ella Plourde also scored for Spruce Mountain (2-1-2), while Leah Burgess had an assist and goalie Jayden Achorn stopped five shots.

The Phoenix offense was aggressive around the Boothbay/Wiscasset goal, but Seahawks goalie Jaylyn Crocker was stout, turning back 16 of the 18 shots she faced.

Avery Barter set up Megan Leeman for Boothbay/Wiscasset’s goal.

DIRIGO 5, TELSTAR 0: Jayce Brophy assisted on each of Emily Woods’ three goals and scored one herself in the Cougars’ MVC win over the Rebels at Dixfield.

The pair connected twice in the first quarter and Alyvia Perreault scored from Grace Robbins to put Dirigo up 3-0. In the third quarter, Brophy scored from Perreault and then fed Woods for the final time to compete Woods’ hat trick and the game’s scoring. Kiera Kelley made two saves for the shutout.

EB Hoff stopped three shots for Telstar.

WINTHROP 7, HALL-DALE 0: Maddie Perkins and Bella Littler scored two goals apiece as the Ramblers steadily pulled away in a shutout of the Bulldogs at Winthrop.

Madeline Wagner had a goal and two assists, Izzy Folsom a goal and an assist, and Lauryn Wood scored once and Brooke Belz added an assist for Winthrop, which got four saves from Madison Weymouth.

Kelsey Cormier stopped 15 shots for Hall-Dale.

BOYS SOCCER
BUCKFIELD 5, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 1: Zachary Shields and Justin Lucas each scored a pair of goals in the Bucks’ (3-1) home win over the Falcons (0-3) in Buckfield.

Shields opened the scoring with two first-half goals. Lucas’ two goals were scored in the second half, along with one by Trevin Albert. Cole Brewster had an assist for Buckfield and goalie Gavin Charest stopped three shots.

Mountain Valley’s Zack New scored on a penalty kick in the second half. Goalie Andrew Crews made six saves.

LISBON 8, DIRIGO 0: Elijah Fullerton netted three goals and Danny Levesque scored two to pace the Greyhounds in their MVC victory over the Cougars in Dixfield.

Lisbon’s (3-1) Hunter Brissette and Kolby Langveux each added a goal and goalie Sean Moore scored the first goal of his career on a penalty kick. Moore also stopped all four shots he faced in goal.

Dirigo (1-2) goalies Logean Hodgkins and Travis Wright made 16 and six saves, respectively.

MT. ABRAM 11, OAK HILL 0: Cam Walters scored a hat trick as part of a balanced and lethal Roadrunners (3-0) offense in a shutout victory over the Raiders (0-3) at Salem.

Mt. Abram goalie Ian Allen made three saves in the shutout. Hunter Durland scored twice and Kaden Pillsbury, Trevor Phelps, Morgan Thibodeau, Kyle Presby, Charlie Pye and Jose’ Torres also scored for the Roadrunners. Walters, Pye, Thibodeau, Pillsbury, Wyatt Sieminsky and Payton Mitchell had assists.

Cade Fessenden stopped six shot for Oak Hill.

WINTHROP 5, SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 2: Iker Penniman’s three goals boosted the Ramblers (1-2) past the Phoenix (1-2) in Jay.

Tyler Shumey also scored for Winthrop, and goalie Jaxson August made four saves.

Owen Bryant tallied a goal and an assist for Spruce Mountain. Kaleb Finelli also scored a goal. Goalie Jacob Bryant stopped eight shots.

MEN’S SOCCER
BATES 6, UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND 0:
 The Bobcats (3-0) got a pair of goals from Alex Szwarcewicz in a span of 3:21 early in the contest and rolled past the Nor’easters (1-4) at Biddeford.

Owen Keleher and Sam Assantha each had a goal and an assist for Bates, while Tife Agunloye and Charlie Cronin added goals.

Ethan Despoto and Ollie Hammond split time in net for UNE, each recording five saves, while the Bobcats fielded three different keepers with Bruce David making the only save necessary.
