NORWAY — We are excited to again work with Katey Hawes and her staff to sponsor “Yoga Warriors” for cancer patients and caregivers. This very popular gently yoga class will be held the first four Fridays of each month from 11 a.m. – Noon at the Posabilities Studio, located at 15 Tannery Street in Norway, beginning Friday, September 24. If you are interested in participating in a Yoga Warriors class, please email us.

We are getting ready for our public Open House on September 15 from 2-4 p.m. and hope you will stop by to see our new space! This event will be held in accordance with CDC guidelines/recommendations in place on that day.

In the meantime, we continue to meet with patients by appointment, and still offer:

A variety of weekly virtual classes and programs
A library of recorded classes on our website and on our YouTube channel. You can even access these recordings on your smartphone!
Complementary therapy sessions with the new Live Well Card
Comfort items such as: wigs, arm, and neck pillows, port protectors, rice bags, wrap quilts, hats, afghans, etc.
Food and travel assistance
The assistance of our Oncology Social Worker to help you connect to other resources

Bi-Weekly Chair Yoga in Harrison

We are partnering with the Caswell House Conservancy in Harrison to offer Chair Yoga twice per week! This class is taught by Susan Kane, who many of you may know from her work in western Maine as a Yoga instructor and Reiki practitioner.

This Chair Yoga class is open to the public ($10.00), but is FREE for any cancer patient and their caregiver.

Learn how the practice of Mindful-based Stress Reduction (MSBR) can assist with reducing stress through breath, movement, and meditation.
