LEWISTON — The city of Lewiston has promoted four employees in the last month.

Heather Theriault

Heather Theriault was promoted to human resources director. She formerly served as Lewiston’s benefits administrator since 2017. She graduated from Saint Joseph’s College with her bachelor’s degree in human resources in 2013 and from the University of Southern New Hampshire with her master’s degree in human resources in 2019. She previously worked in the Lewiston Public Schools Human Resources Department.

Jason Johnson

Jason Johnson was promoted to sergeant. Johnson previously served as patrol corporal with the Lewiston Police Department. He began his service with the department in 2008 and previously held positions include: patrol officer, academy cadre and Central Maine Violent Crime Task Force officer. After an enlistment of four years in the United States Coast Guard, he graduated from the New York State Zone 12 Southern Tier Law Enforcement Academy in 1997.

Benjamin Westman

Benjamin Westman was promoted to safety training & loss time coordinator. Westman was previously employed as a Lewiston code enforcement officer since 2017. He also works part time for a local fire/rescue service and is a licensed EMT, CPR instructor and volunteer firefighter.

Kristy Sheehan

Kristy Sheehan was promoted to senior appraiser. She began her career with the city as the collections officer in 2012. In 2015, she became the deeds and recording specialist, a position that introduced her to the assessing field. She was hired as an appraiser in January 2019 and achieved her Certified Maine Assessor designation in the same year. Sheehan began her municipal career at the Lisbon Water Department in 2007.
