Victoria Cleary is the featured artist for the month in the Art & Ale Window at Gritty’s in Auburn. Cleary is a mixed media and acrylic artist living and working in Winthrop. Using acrylic paint and found objects, she crafts the monsters and beasts of her imagination. Symbolizing anxiety, insecurity, and the unknown, the monsters have the ambiguous personalities and complexities of human nature.

Cleary has been a found art and assemblage artist for years, having shown work at the Quiet City Bookstore’s David Bowie art tribute show, and the recent UMVA Rage/Love goddess exhibition. Over the course of the pandemic, she has begun focusing more on blending her mixed media background with her new endeavor of acrylic painting
