Penny Bourgoin

LITCHFIELD – Penny Bourgoin of Litchfield died peacefully at her home on Sept. 15, 2021, with her devoted husband Bill and good friend Vicky by her side.

Penny was born in Lewiston on Feb. 16, 1952, daughter of Shirley and Bill King. She was educated in the local school systems. Penny worked a variety of jobs before becoming self-employed. Of all her jobs, Penny was most proud to be co-owner with her husband, Bill, of Commercial Installation Corporation.

Penny loved animals, especially her dogs, donkeys, and family horse, Tony. Penny was most happy outdoors on her farm, or when traveling to Florida for her winter breaks with the love of her life, Bill. She enjoyed riding her trike and was ecstatic to get the opportunity to do so while in Florida. Penny was a free spirit who loved life fully. Those who had the opportunity to meet Penny felt her larger than life presence. She could most likely be found dancing in her kitchen, singing into a wooden spoon many classics….one of which was “Last Kiss” originally song by J Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers. She had her children and grandchildren thinking she created that song, until they heard it on the radio. Penny was a special soul and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Bourgoin, of Litchfield; sons Shay Williamson and his girlfriend Heidi, Nathan Williamson and wife Nadine; granddaughters Kelsey and Marissa; great-grandchildren Kenya, Maddox, Ophelia, and Cecelia; two sisters, Candice Breton and her husband Richard, Wendy Springer and husband Russell, and brother, William Arthur King Jr. also known as “Todd”; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest privately. A Celebration of Life in her honor will be held at her farm, located at 18 Community Drive, Litchfield on Sunday Sept. 26 starting at 1 p.m.
