BETHEL — Reesa Potvin escaped on a breakaway and scored the game-winning goal with 2:35 left in overtime, lifting Lisbon to a 3-2 MVC field hockey victory over host Telstar on Monday.

The Greyhounds got first-quarter goals by Kayla Cooper and Amelia Mooney, with the two assists going to Haley-Jane Tuplin. Maria Levesque made eight saves for Lisbon.

Telstar’s Nicole Cox tied the game in the fourth quarter on an assist by Kyra Rose-Espinoza. Cox also scored the Rebels’ first goal off an assist from Addie Charette in the first quarter. EB Hoff made 18 saves in goal.

SKOWHEGAN 3, LEWISTON 0: Layla Conway scored twice to lead the River Hawks to the Class A win in Skowhegan.

Kailey Bickford had the other goal for Skowhegan (3-0-0) while Mason Atwood, Sydalia Savage and Kate Kelso each had an assist. Laney Vanestine made three saves.

Kim McLaughlin stopped 13 shots for Lewiston (4-3-0).

CAPE ELIZABETH 8, GRAY-NEW GLOUCESTER 0: Six players scored for the Capers (4-0-1) as they beat the Patriots (2-5) at Cape Elizabeth.

Grace Gray led Cape Elizabeth with three goals and four assists and Meghan Conley, Carmen Erickson, Abbie Homicz and Kaitlyn McIntyre all scored once. Woods added two assists.

GNG goalie Lorenza Piper had 27 saves.

GIRLS SOCCER
MONMOUTH/WINTHROP 8, BOOTHBAY/WISCASSET 0: Megan Ham scored a hat trick as the Mustangs (5-1) overwhelmed the Seahawks (0-4) at Monmouth.

Ella Rice, Elsa Goebel-Bain, Maddy Beck, Lydia Rice and Brooklyn Federico also scored for Monmouth/Winthrop. June Foyt manned the goal but didn’t need to stop any shots on goal.

Emilie Crocker made 27 saves for Boothbay/Wiscasset.
