The massive 490-acre, $110 million solar farm in Farmington is nearing completion. Farmington Solar, a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, is building the facility, and Farmington will receive about $20 million in taxes during the 30-year lease agreement. Sandy River Farm, lower left, at 560 Farmington Falls Road/Route 2, is renting about 500 acres of farmland to NextEra Energy for the 300,000 solar panels. Russ Dillingham/Sun Journal
