DEAR SUN SPOTS: My husband and I will vouch for Roy’s Hamburgers on Washington Street in Auburn as the best french fries around. Whenever we crave french fries we head out there. DEAR SUN SPOTS: When I read about the quest for the best french fries, I thought we should also add onion rings. As I travel Memory Lane, Cooper’s on Sabattus Street in Lewiston use to have the best ever onion rings. They were fresh, not frozen, as were their french  fries. It was a small family-owned restaurant with great food and prices.  I don’t  remember when they closed. — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Can any other readers tell me more about Cooper’s?
