• Star Gazing with 4-H and Local Star Experts! Friday, November 12, 5:30 – 7 p.m., 64 Roberts Road, South Paris.Cloud Date: Saturday, November 13

Volunteers of Twitchell Observatory are going to host 4-H for star gazing like you’ve never seen! Several telescopes will be set up for viewing various parts of our wondrous sky! Starting at 5:30 and going until 7 p.m., volunteers will show us and teach us about craters on the moon, Jupiter and its moons, Saturn’s lovely rings, double stars, and the Andromeda Galaxy!

• Money Can Grow on Trees. Sunday, November 21, 2 – 3:30 p.m., 9 Olson Road, South Paris

Join Dave Fuller of the University of Maine Cooperative Extension in making your own balsam fir and pine swag for the holidays. In this program, you’ll learn about tree identification, how to sustainably harvest evergreen tips, and a bit about the business of selling swags. This is a fun, hands-on program!
