NORWAY – Charles T. Jones, Jr., 83, of West Paris passed away on Friday, Oct. 8, 2021 at Stephens Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 18, 1937 in Norwalk, Conn., son of Charles and Mary Jones of Lewisboro, N.Y.

He was educated in Redding and Danbury, Conn. schools and Henry Abbott Technical School Building Trades in Danbury. Ted worked the family transportation business and restored Chris Craft Runabouts for a number of years before working his trades building homes in Oxford County for many years before becoming a trip driver for SAD #17 for the rest of his working career.

He is the father of Sheila Jones Felix of Wolfeboro, N.H., Stephen Jones of Freedom, N.H., Sally Livingstone and husband Eric of Lancaster, N.H., stepfather to Richard McAlister and wife Mimi of South Paris, Maine, Virginia McAlister of Poland, Maine, Debbie Thompson and husband Del of West Paris, Maine and 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Ted married Elizabeth McAlister August 19, 1988 and worked together to build a beautiful life together. He belonged to many local organizations: West Paris Historical Society, West Paris Old Home Days, West Paris Library and the West Paris Baptist Church.

He had two Boston Terriers, Spike and Budweiser that traveled with him whenever law permitted.

He loved life to the fullest and Elizabeth!
