SOUTH PARIS — The Paris Cape Historical Society plans to host its last public lecture for this season at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at the museum on High Street.

The program for the evening will center around “Recollections of the Brick School at South Paris.”

Since 1842 there has been a brick school on the lot where the Mildred Maxin Fox Apartments are now located. Three separate schools have served the area in training youths: the Oxford Normal Institute (1848), the later Brick School (1883) and the last renovation (1940) of the Mildred Maxim Fox School.

Previous teachers and scholars are invited to attend with the public in the hope of sharing about teaching experiences or some humorous stories of the past.

Refreshments will be served following the meeting.

Parking is available in the back of the museum on Porter Street.
