LEWISTON – Alta J. Soucy, 77, a resident of Cottage Street, passed away Tuesday Oct. 12, 2021 at her residence. She was born Huntington, Pa., on May 2, 1944, the daughter of Frederick R. and Evelyn L. (Wilson) Wagner.

She was educated in Pennsylvania schools, and moved to Maine at a young age in 1967 where she raised her family in Lisbon Falls.

Alta was a strong willed independent self-sufficient woman. She took pride in her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren, and had more than enough love to go around.

Survivors include her son Donald Richardson and wife Jennifer of Lisbon, two daughters Brenda Yeaton and husband Elwood of Peru, and Michaela Wilcox and husband Howard of Lewiston; two brothers Danny Wagner and wife Irene of Gettysburg, Pa. and Charles Wagner and wife Beverly of Lisbon Falls, two sisters Mary Specht and husband Samuel of Reedsville, Pa., and Barbara Boose of Hanover, Pa. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her significant other James White with whom she resided of Lewiston

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Soucy; a son, Randy Richardson; two brothers, Merle, and Bruce Wagner.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday Oct. 23at St. Matthews Episcopal Church 496 Lisbon Street Lisbon Falls, ME 04252.
