Matthew Allen Marston

MEXICO – Matthew Allen Marston, 29, of Mexico, died unexpectedly Friday night Oct. 8, 2021 in Dixfield.He was born on August 22, 1992 in Norway, a son of Neil and Sharron (Arnold) Marston. He received his education in Hudson, N.H. and Maine schools, graduating in 2011 from Mt. Valley High School where he enjoyed playing football.He had been employed at Advanced Auto and Archies in Mexico. He enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing and was interested in “tinkering” to repurpose and repair things.Matt was known for his great bear hugs, his contagious smile and his willingness to help anyone in need. He will always be missed by those who loved him. He is loved by his father and “mum”, Neil and June Marston of Mexico; siblings David Marston (Monika Auwaerter), Kayla McLean, Ryan Kenney, Nicole Kenney, Benjamin Marston, Kelsea Marston, Troy Bryant, EJ Varnum and fiancé Starlee McKenna; three very special cousins that were like brothers, James Bellman, Chris Bellman and Joe Bellman; three nephews, Lukas Marston, Tobias and Eden Varnum; several aunts, uncles; cousins; and friends. He was predeceased by his “Mahh” Sharron McLean who died on Oct. 9, 2019; his sister, Shelbea Marston; paternal grandparents Walter and Maurine Marston, maternal grandparents Delores Arnold and Bud Nichols, his maternal step-grandparents Richard and Jeannette Bryant; several aunts and uncles.Family and friends are invited to a memorial visitation on Saturday Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Wiles Remembrance Center, 308 Franklin Rd. (Rte. 133), Jay. A Comfort reception will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Apostolic Church, 9 Brown St., Mexico.
