ORONO — Autumn Freeman scored twice, including the game-winning goal off of a penalty corner after two overtimes to lead No. 5 Mountain Valley (13-2-1) to a 2-1 victory over Orono (10-4-1) in a Class C North field hockey quarterfinal Tuesday.

Freeman tied the game in the third quarter, then scored again — on an assist from Mallorie Bourret — when the game went to penalty corners to advance Mountain Valley to the Class C North semifinal against No. 1 Maine Central Institute, which beat No. 8 Spruce Mountain 6-0 on Tuesday.

HALL-DALE 1, OAK HILL 0: Lexi Chartier’s early goal stuck as No. 5 Hall-Dale edged No. 4 Oak Hill in Lewiston.

Chartier scored off an assist by Averi Baker with 5:25 left in the first quarter for the lone goal of the game.

Kelsey Cormier made four saves to earn the shutout for the Bulldogs (4-9-2), while Sierra Lane stopped four shots for the Raiders (5-9-1).

GIRLS SOCCER
BANGOR 4, OXFORD HILLS 1: The No. 9 Vikings struck first, but the No. 1 Rams stayed undefeated and moved on in a Class A North quarterfinal in Bangor.

Meredith Harthorne scored first for Oxford Hills (6-8-2) within three minutes of the starting whistle, but Anna Connors tied it in the first half just 23 seconds after Hathorne’s goal.

Samantha Erb then scored two goals to break Bangor (15-0) away from the Vikings before Rachel Mathieu finished the game off with Bangor’s fourth goal of the night.

Maddy Herrick saved six shots for Oxford Hills while Emma McNeil saved a single shot for the Rams.

COLLEGE FIELD HOCKEY
BATES 5, COLBY 1: Paige Cote scored a goal and two assists as the Bobcats (7-8-0, 3-7-0 NESCAC) handled the Mules (5-9-0, 1-9-0) at Lewiston.

Ashton Bayle, Emily Gianunzio, Meghan Lapar and Bridget Thompson also scored. Riley Burns had two assists.

Sandrine Brien scored for Colby.

MEN’S SOCCER
COLBY 2, BATES 1: Josh Rubin scored at the 78 minute mark, and the Mules (7-7-1, 4-5-1 NESCAC) took advantage of an own goal with three minutes remaining in overtime to edge the Bobcats (6-9-0, 3-7-0) at Lewiston.

Noah Jackson made five saves for the win. Owen Keleher scored for Bates.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
BATES 4, COLBY 1: Cece Pilgrim scored two goals, and Elizabeth Patrick and Izzy Lussier also scored as the Bobcats (4-9-2, 2-8-0 NESCAC) used a three goal second half to pull away from the Mules (4-8-2, 0-8-2) at Lewiston.

Kat Nuckols made three saves. Corrigan Rayhill scored the lone goal for Colby.
