As an educator and mother of two school-aged children, I encourage residents to support Paul Beauparlant in his bid for reelection to the Lewiston School Committee, Ward 7.

Paul has devoted his life to education, spending 43 years in the classroom as a teacher and department chair, never failing to put students first. He has raised his two sons in Lewiston and has been an active participant in the community for decades.

I have known Paul for nearly 20 years as a colleague and friend. He is caring, compassionate and well-respected. He understands the importance of listening to all sides of an issue and keeping an open mind.

His extensive background in public education gives him a unique perspective when it comes to making educational decisions. I cannot think of a better candidate for the school committee.

I ask residents to join me in voting for Paul Beauparlant on Nov. 2.
