It’s the first week of November and Bag Lady’s huddled in a Slanket knockoff, determined to keep the heat down for as long as possible.

Know where the heat *is* in full force? The Mamanuca Islands of Fiji, the filming home of CBS’ “Survivor,” where BL is 99.9% convinced one Season 41 contestant is rocking a quilted L.L.Bean quarter-zip sweatshirt as part of the single outfit worn all season.

“Survivor” Season 41’s Evvie Jagoda pictured in episode six. CBS/Robert Voets

Evvie Jagoda also wears a bowtie and a shirt covered in lemons. It’s a whole look.

If you compare the zipper toggle and quilted pattern, it really looks like a solid match. Curiously, I can find the quarter-zip in my latest Bean catalog but not on the website, and I can’t find it anywhere in the mustard yellow Evvie is wearing. (Nordstrom’s has the sweatshirt, just not in the right color.)

So maybe it’s last season? Or maybe the scientist has exclusive access to next season’s colors because the company sensed some cunning game play skills? But I digress. More importantly, go L.L.Bean! And go Evvie, who is probably wearing L.L.Bean!

And go us, virtually shopping, for ways to keep warm these next few months so I don’t have to sacrifice my Starbucks mint hot chocolate funds for an oil bill. Truly, *shudder.*

Brooks Ghost Thanksgiving-print women’s sneakers, Lamey Wellehan, $129.95

I mean, running is one way to stay warm, if you want to go that route.

But let’s not blow right past the fact that orange Thanksgiving-print sneakers exist and they have little steaming slices of pie, melted butter, turkeys and oven mitts on them, and OMG.

Women’s long sweater fleece vest, L.L.Bean, $79

In Mainer-perfect buffalo plaid and hitting right below the bum. December-practical if not “Survivor”-practical.

The Ultimate Slanket, Walmart.com, $26.92

A 60- by 80-inch wearable plush fleece blanket with sleeves. This version also has a “foot pocket,” which . . . shouldn’t socks be called foot pockets? Because it feels like yes?

L.L.Bean quilted quarter-zip, Nordstrom’s, $69.99

Choose from navy, deep admiral blue or light gray heather and then, make like Evvie: Sleep on sand, eat very little rice, kick butt, generally adventure. Sounds like good times.

Heat Holders cable-knit neck warmer, Kohl’s, $28

Bag Lady has also never heard of a neck warmer, but it looks delightful: a knit neck-sized ring with faux-fur lining.

Best find: “Earmuffs for Everyone!: How Chester Greenwood Became Known as the Inventor of Earmuffs” by Meghan McCarthy, Books-A-Million, $7.99

It’s almost that Chester Greenwood time of year! Huddle up and read aloud. Gather children and pets around you for warmth.

Think twice: About trusting Shan! Evvie, she’s so slippery and I fear for you and your quarter-zip!

Bag Lady’s true identity is protected by a pair of stylish, sweater-wearing Doberman pinschers (whose coats have come in already, so they’re all set, thanks) and the customer service counter at the Sun Journal. You can reach her at baglady@sunjournal.com.
