Roger W. Caron

HARTFORD – Roger W. Caron died on Nov. 7, 2021, at the home of his son. He was born in Lewiston on Sept. 22, 1934; the son of Arthur N. Caron and Emilienne Caron. He attended Lewiston High School and then went to work at the continental mill.Roger was a Red Sox and New England fan and he really loved bowling, he was on a bowling team in Alaska. Roger was a member of Holy Family Church and the American Military Association. At 19 years old Roger enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War, he also worked in Washington at the Pentagon, and also traveled around the world, he retired after serving 24 years in the service, he loved his country. After his career in the service Roger was employed at the distribution center of Peoples Bank for 14 years at which time he retired due to illness. His immediate survivors are a son Michael Caron and his wife Roxanne of Hartford, Maine, a sister Doris Vachon and husband Donald, two brother in laws. Charlie Douglas and Dick Laplante, Six grandchildren Elizabeth Smith, Naomi Roy, Rachel Caron, John Caron Shannon Beauchesne, Michelle St Hilaire; nine great grandchildren Lydia, Trinity, Abigail, Henry, Alexis, Kyle, Brandon, Bradley and Eli, nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Yvonne Caron, his daughter Debra L. Harvey, two sisters Arlene Laplante and Paulin Dougles and his parents.Funeral services will be held on Thursday Nov. 18, at 1 p.m., at St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum with Military Honors.
