Wayne Scot Parkin

LEWISTON – Wayne Scot Parkin, 60, a resident of Wales, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. He was born on Jan. 9, 1961, in Augusta, the son of Charles H. Parkin and Mildred (Jewell) Parkin. He attended school in Wales and Oak Hill High School. On Sept. 6, 1980, at the Wales Presbyterian Church he married his wife of 41 years, Leiarna Mae Esman. He was owner and operator of Wayne’s Auto Repair in Sabattus and was considered a workaholic by his family. He enjoyed stock car racing, fishing, watching football and was an avid New York Giants fan. He also enjoyed his quality time with his grandchildren which included going to fairs and Old Orchard Beach.He is survived by his wife, Leiarna Mae (Esman) Parkin of Wales, his son, Jason Parkin of Wales, his daughter, Jessica Hersom and husband Christopher of Sabattus; four grandchildren, twins; Alexis and Emma Parkin, Connor Emmons and Chloe Cook, sister-in-law, Tammy Parkin, a niece, Jennifer Casey and husband Thomas, nephews; Jake and wife Josie Parkin, Jarred Parkin, and Sean Higgins.He was predeceased by his parents, his grandson, Camden Scot “Pudgy” Emmons, sisters; Melanie Higgins and Robin Corson, a brother, Charles Parkin and father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Joan Esman.
