Lucien E. Breton

LEWISTON – Lucien E. Breton, 86, a resident of Greene, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1934, in Jay, the son of Wilfred “Buster” J. and Cecile (Simoneau) Breton. Lucien attended schools in Livermore Falls and was a 1952 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. After school Lucien joined the United States Air Force and served for 20 years before retiring in 1974. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for and retired from the US Post Office in Lewiston. After retiring from the Post Office, he spent many years as a Chaplain witnessing and serving the areas nursing homes. On Aug. 11, 1953, at St. Rose of Lima he married Theresa Bendeetto, they were married for almost 17 years before her passing in 1970. On June 28, 1980, he married Gloria Vera (Lindsay) Peters, they were married for 30 years before her passing on Dec. 24, 2010. Lucien was a member of the Wayside Bible Baptist Church in Livermore.
He is survived by his son Mark Breton and his wife Louann of Louisiana, his daughter Lisa Dameron and husband Glen of South Carolina, his granddaughter, Melissa Dameron, his loving stepchildren, Linda Beebe and Susan Peters, his brother, Raymond Breton, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, his wives, Theresa Breton, and Gloria Breton, his grandson, Eric Breton, and his siblings, Medora Hardy, Adrien Breton, Lucille Wells, Noella Lee, and Clairie Woods. Messages of condolence may be sent to: http://www.finleyfuneralhome.com

A Funeral Service with Full Military Honors will be held at 12 p.m., Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at Wayside Bible Baptist Church, 1724 Federal Road, Livermore, Maine. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., prior to the service at the church. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.

Interment at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner Street, Auburn, Maine 04210.
