Rose E. Hinkley

TURNER – Rose E. Hinkley, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 22, 2021. She was born on Nov. 28, 1937 in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Lester S. Dow, Sr., and Sadie (Bryant) Dow. She attended school in North Livermore and graduated from Livermore Falls High School in 1955 and New Brunswick Bible Institute in 1960. On April 24, 1976, she married Sterling Hinkley at Wayside Bible Baptist Church in Livermore.

She worked at Coolidge’s Department store and Duntons Department store for sixteen years, later she started a small business of her own called Rose’s Doll Closet and enjoyed selling dolls and accessories for several years until her retirement.

She was a fully dedicated mother and wife. Her love was felt throughout her daily actions. She was always a positive role model.

She enjoyed sewing and making handbags which she sold at the craft fair at Turner Center. When she was younger she enjoyed traveling to such places as Disney World, around Prince Edward Island, Amish Country in Lancaster, PA. and Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont. She also enjoyed watching birds at the bird feeder.

Survivors include her son Jeffrey Hinkley; brother Lester Dow, Jr.; sister Diana Graydon and husband David; sister Marcia Dow; and son-in-law Kyle Trippeda. She was predeceased by her husband Sterling; twin brother Carrol; daughter Bethany Trippeda; and sister-in-law Mary Dow.
