NEW SHARON — A Norridgewock man was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a crash off Cape Cod Hill Road.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the report of the crash at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said Steven Falk, 52, of Norridgewock was driving a 2005 Ford Ranger on Cape Cod Hill Road toward Vienna. He drove the pickup into the trees as he approached a 90 degree turn at the intersection of George Thomas Road, according to a sheriff’s department statement.

Falk was critically injured and LifeFlight transported him to a hospital.

He was extricated from the vehicle by members of the New Sharon Fire Department. Northstar Rescue helped transport Falk to the helicopter. Dutch Gap Auto removed the vehicle from the scene.
