LEWISTON — Leah Landry scored five goals for Lewiston in its 11-3 win over Winslow/Gardiner/Cony/Lawrence/Messalonskee/Brewer in a girls hockey game at The Colisee on Wednesday.
Sadie Morgan added two goals and an assist for the Blue Devils (4-0). Toree St. Hilaire had a goal and three assists, and Charlotte Cloutier, Alyssa Marcoux and Leah Dube also scored goals in the win.
Jordin Williams scored twice and added an assist in the loss for the Black Tigers. Kaylyn Bourque had a goal and an assist.
FIELD HOCKEY
MARTINEAU HONORED: Leavitt’s Eve Martineau was named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association’s Northern New England all-region team, which was announced Wednesday.
Martineau tallied 10 goals and seven assists for the Hornets, who won the Class B state championship last month. Martineau was also selected to the Sun Journal All-Region first team and the KVAC Class B first team.
MEN’S BASKETBALL
LEE 79, CMCC 67: Brian Belade scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Pandas to victory over the Mustangs in Auburn.
Lee bench players Chris Adun chipped in 17 points and Shea Doherty had 10 points.
Corey David led CMCC with 21 points, while Josh Chery scored 15 points and De Marco McKissic had 13.
COLBY 86, UMAINE-FARMINGTON 81, OT: Will King scored nine of his 14 points in overtime, and Matt Hanna drilled a go-ahead jumper with 1:10 left as the Mules (5-0) defeated the Beavers (5-2) in Waterville.
Hanna finished with 19 points. Alec McGovern added 14.
Terion Moss recorded 30 points and six assists for UMF, and Jack Kane had 28 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Donlin chipped in 11 points and eight rebounds.
