AUBURN — Anjel Thompson has seven family members plus a few friends she would like to give Christmas gifts.

One problem: “I don’t have the money to do it,” the Edward Little High School junior said.

Thanks to donations from school staff, parents and a special education teacher, she’ll be able to at no cost.

Tara Eretzian’s transitional prep students turned their classroom into a store and the open sign was turned on Monday. All Wrapped Up offered presents from which students and staff could select at no cost, including wrapping.

“It’s kind of chaos,” Eretzian said, as people picked out gifts, while a wrapping station was set up in the hall.

“Is this good for a 10-year-old?” Thompson asked her friends as she held a delicate doll.

“To: Mom from Cheyenne”  sophomore Cheyenne Snyder wrote on her wrapped gift, along with a hand-drawn heart.

“It helps me feel a little better knowing that all the kids have gifts to give,” Eretzian said. “It gives everyone the chance to go home and put something under the tree that they put some thought into.”
