The stickers to register your snowmobiles are in. You can also register them online at maine.gov/portal/index.html.
Dog licenses are due by Dec. 31. The State of Maine requires dogs to be licensed at 6 months of age or within 10 days of ownership. You must show evidence of current rabies vaccination at the time of registration (yearly) and a spay/neuter certificate, if applicable. Fees are $6 for spayed/neutered dogs and $11 for unspayed/unneutered dogs. A late fee of $25 per dog (in addition to the license fee) will be applied after Jan. 31, 2022.
The town office will close on Friday, Dec. 31 in observance of the new year.
The town of Norway winter parking ban continues through April 15. According to town regulations, “It shall be unlawful to park any vehicle on any street or road within the Town of Norway from November 15 through April 15, between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The fine: $25 (twenty-five dollars) plus the cost of towing, to be paid by the vehicle owner.”
The next Select Board meeting will be held on Jan. 6. The next Planning Board meeting will be on Jan. 13. Meetings are filmed by Norway Paris Cable TV and recordings are available on their website at: npctv11.org.
Select Board meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the town office. Planning Board meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month at 7 p.m. at the town office. Town officials do their best to post agendas for both boards on the town’s Facebook page.
