Debbie

Debbie is one of our long-time residents. She has been waiting patiently at the shelter since March. Will she be able to find a home before her first anniversary comes up?

Debbie is just under 3 years old, and was brought to the shelter by her former family. She was carrying some precious cargo, too — she was pregnant and had six kittens at the shelter. Her kittens found homes but Debbie still waits.

Debbie seems to be a loner. She’ll tolerate some attention and petting on her terms and will turn away when she’s had enough. She does not like to be picked up. She’d like a quiet, adult home where she can just relax and be herself. The coloring of her coat makes her what is called a torbie cat — a tortoiseshell tabby. She sure is pretty.

Do you have room in your heart for Debbie?
