Trixie

Trixie is a senior gal looking for a quiet retirement home. This sweet girl is 14 years old and originally came to the shelter when her owner went into hospice. Trixie would love to have another special person in her life.

Trixie has a few special needs you should know about. She has a sensitive stomach and needs a particular kind of food. It’s not prescription food, but you’d need to either order it online or get it from someplace like Petco. She’s also on two medications to help her stomach, so we would be happy to get her into a foster home and we would provide those medications for the rest of her life.

Trixie would love to be an only cat, but she could also live with a laid-back cat who won’t invade her personal space. She enjoys people, but likes them to be relaxed and gentle, not high energy (so no small children for Trixie). She enjoys petting and head scratches. She’d make a great companion for someone who lives a quiet life. If you think you could give Trixie the retirement home she deserves, call the shelter at (207) 743-8679, or stop in to meet her during our open hours, which are Friday, Saturday, and
Sunday noon to 4 p.m. (Other days by appointment).
