JOHNSTOWN 4, MAINE 3: The Nordiques let a first-period lead slip in an NAHL loss to the Tomahawks at The Colisee in Lewiston.

Theo Thrun scored the opening goal and assisted on Johnny Meiers’ first-period goal that gave Maine a 2-0 lead. The Nordiques held a 2-1 advantage going into the first intermission.

The Tomahawks took a 3-2 lead early in the third on a Stephen Kyrkostas goal, but Thrun and Auburn native Reese Farrell assisted on Tyler Gaulin’s power-play goal to tie the game back up.

Sean Ramsay scored the game-winner with 5:32 left.

Avery Sturtz stopped 16 of shots for Maine, while Johnstown goalie Matthew O’Donnell made 20 saves.

NORTHERN 3, TWIN CITY 0: Charlie Ross assisted on all three goals as the Cyclones shut out the Thunder at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.

Pavel Karasek scored on the power play in the second period, then Hayden Siegel and Keaton French added third-period insurance goals for the Cyclones.

Brody Haynes made 32 saves in the Twin City net and Kristoffer Eberly earned the shutout in goal for the Cyclones by stopping all 34 shots sent his way.
