RANGELEY — Five players scored in double digits, including Winnie LaRochelle putting in her 1,000th career point, as Rangeley toppled Temple Academy 81-21 in girls basketball Wednesday night.

LaRochelle’s 1,000th point came on her second basket of the game midway through the first quarter. She had the hot hand for the Lakers (7-1) with 23 points. Teammate Emily Eastlack contributed 18 points and had eight steals, while Isa Whittier helped with 15 points (and 10 rebounds and nine assists) and Cheyanne Avery and Jazmyn Robishaw each scored 11 points. Robishaw also pulled down 11 rebounds.

For the Bereans (2-11), Ella Baker dropped in 11 points.

TELSTAR 37, BUCKFIELD 18: Morgan Zetts poured in a game-high 17 points and the visiting Rebels (3-11) steadily pulled away from the Bucks (1-12) in Buckfield.

Makenzie Eliot pitched in with 10 points for Telstar, which led 9-0 after one quarter, scored nine points each in the second and third, then finished with a 10-point fourth quarter.

Addison Stevens-Belanger paced Buckfield with seven points and Kianna Finnegan added six.

HALL-DALE 73, OAK HILL 32: Amanda Trepenier scored 14 points to lead the Bulldogs to an MVC win over the Raiders in Farmingdale.

Jade Graham and Hayden Madore each scored 12 points, while KK Wills added 10 points for Hall-Dale (15-0).

Gabby Chessie and Paige Gonya each scored nine points for Oak Hill (7-8).

OXFORD HILLS 48, PORTLAND 20: Sierra Carson outscored the Bulldogs (2-14) by herself, dropping in 22 points in the Vikings’ (13-1) road win in Portland.

Ella Pelletier added 10 points for Oxford Hills, which held Portland scoreless in the fourth quarter.

Naulissa Tuza led Portland with six points.

MT. BLUE 38, NOKOMIS 30: Eva Stevens scored 22 points in the Cougars’ road win over the Warriors in Newport.

KK Daggett chipped in with six points and 11 steals for Mt. Blue.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 42, CARRABEC 36, OT: Jaydn Pingree scored 21 points lead the Phoenix to an MVC win over the Cobras in North Anson.

Olivia Mastine added nine points for Spruce Mountain (11-3).

Courtney Rollins and Molly Hay each scored eight points for Carrabec (11-2).

DIRIGO 46, MADISON 43: Destiny LeClerc scored 11 points to lead the Cougars to an MVC win over the Bulldogs in Madison.

Megan Fletcher, Alyvia Perreault and Abby Stevens each scored eight points for Dirigo (9-6).

Hailey Paquet led Madison (8-6) with 11 points, while Alison Griffeth added 10 points.

WINTHROP 32, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 22: Maddie Perkins scored a game-high 16 points to pace the Ramblers (8-3) to a win over the Falcons (6-8) in Winthrop.

Madeline Wagner added 12 points for Winthrop. Perkins and Wagner combined to make 15 of 18 free throws.

Autumn Freeman led Mountain Valley with 10 points.

OLD ORCHARD BEACH 54, ST. DOMINIC 25: Elise MacNair scored 19 points and Sarah Davis added 10 as the Seagulls (12-3) rolled over the Saints (4-8) in Auburn.

BOYS BASKETBALL
OLD ORCHARD BEACH 45, ST. DOMINIC 44: Landen Johnson scored 21 points and Brady Plante had 11 as the Seagulls (9-5) edged the Saints (9-4) in Auburn.

St. Dom’s was ahead 25-17 at halftime before OOB outscored the Saints 19-5 in the third quarter.

Taylor Varney scored 12 points for St. Dom’s, Jonathan Tangilamesu had 11 and Noah Cyr dropped in 10.

LEAVITT 73, MCI 52: Sawyer Hathaway threw in 24 points, knocked down four 3-pointers and was credited with six rebounds and five assists to lead the Hornets past the Huskies in Turner.

Ben Sirois scored 12 points and Ian Redstone had 10 for Leavitt.

YORK 70, POLAND 56: Jacob Fogg had 20 points and six assists for the Wildcats (10-2) in a win over the Knights (6-9) at York.

J.P. Frazier added 15 points, and Kevin Burke chipped in with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Hunter Gibson paced Poland with 29 points.

EDWARD LITTLE/LEAVITT/POLAND 3, YARMOUTH/FREEPORT 0: The Red Hornets (7-5-2) erupted for three goals in the third period to beat the Clippers (4-7) in Auburn.

Molly Sirois broke the scoreless deadlock, with an assist from Meghan Lachance. Kylee Spugnardi made it 2-0, assisted by Caroline Audette, and Sophia Hartley added a third goal, set up by Eve Martineau and Spugnardi.
