PARIS — The Oxford County Commission appointed Nicole Newton as deputy communications director during Thursday’s brief workshop.

Newton has been a dispatcher for the Oxford County Regional Communications Center since 2011. She succeeds Geff Inman, who was promoted to director late last year.

In other business, commissioners authorized hiring Anthony Champoli as a full-time corrections officer and accepted the resignation of Nathaniel Brindley as a corrections officer.
