Bates senior Mia Roy’s record-breaking performance in the conference tournament earned her the NESCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award on Monday.

Roy broke the NESCAC women’s basketball tournament record for points in one game with a career-high 35 points at Middlebury in Saturday’s quarterfinal. She shot 12-for-22 from the floor and knocked down 5-of-7 from 3-point range. Roy also dished out a career-high six assists in the 87-75 win for the Bobcats. Bates advances to the NESCAC semifinals for the first time since 2010.

This is Roy’s first career NESCAC Player of the Week honor and the first for Bates women’s basketball since Ariana Dalia earned the award earlier this season.
