Kimbre Varney slides down Chestnut Park Hill in Auburn on Wednesday afternoon with her son, Luther. She is part of a new neighborhood group called Salt & Light Community Center whose mission is “Spreading Heart, Hope & Healing.” The group provided sleds, snacks, games, and lots of love and fun for neighborhood children. More community events are planned for the coming months and the group plans to raise funds to secure a facility nearby to spread their message.
