Members of the Poland Huddle, a local group that works to positively impact the community, recently presented treats to the on-duty fire rescue workers in Poland.

Trays of fruit, cookies, bagels, cheese, and other items were prepared and packaged so items could be shared with team members who work other shifts, according to a news release from group.

A poster expressing appreciation and admiration to all members of the public safety team, as well as fire-rescue and sheriff’s department, accompanied the trays of “edible thank yous.”

The tribute read in part, “Your presence in our community, often behind the scenes, makes us all safer. We are so grateful you are there, ready and willing to respond to emergencies and to keep us connected to support that saves lives. Heartfelt thanks for all you do.”

Included on the poster to illustrate their intrepid service were comments from local people who had been personally helped by the team.
