The Lewiston and Auburn public libraries plan to co-host the Museum Of Bad Art with a virtual program “Tough Times — From Having a Bad Day to Dystopian Apocalypse.”

This free, public program will take place on Zoom from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 21.

In this presentation, the Museum Of Bad Art explores some of the ways artists react to disasters small and large, real and imagined, according to a news release from the library.

Based out of Somerville, Massachusetts, the museum collects, exhibits, and celebrates art that will be seen in no other venue. Since 1993, the museum has collected art from thrift stores, yard sales, sidewalk trash, and even the artists who create it. They analyze, compare to classic art, and share with thousands of fans around the world.

Registration is required. The Zoom link will be posted to auburnpubliclibrary.org and the library’s Facebook page prior to the event.

People also can register by contacting Donna Wallace at dwallace@auburnpubliclibrary.org or 207-333-6640, ext. 4.

This program is co-sponsored by the libraries and museum.
