Five people in a reportedly stolen car were arrested early Wednesday in Litchfield, according to police.

Monmouth police said Scott Gosselin, 34, of Dover Foxcroft; Gabriel Lafleur, 22, of Dexter; Gregory Fellows, 50, of Bangor; and Samantha Davis, 32, of Jay were charged with unauthorized use of property, the car.

Jessica Falvey, 48, of Bangor was charged with unauthorized use of property and unlawful possession of a scheduled drug. While making the arrest, police reportedly found what they believed to be crystal methamphetamine and a yet-to-be-identified brown substance.

Officer Olivia Mora of the Monmouth Police Department ran the car’s license plate at about 2 a.m., after spotting the vehicle on Perkins Road in Monmouth, according to police.

Mora learned the vehicle had been reported stolen March 15 in Greenville.

The vehicle then parked at a residence, and Mora waited, watched and called for backup due to the number of people inside the vehicle.

Monmouth Sgt. Dana Wessling and Chief Paul Ferland responded, along with officers from the Winthrop Police Department, Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office and Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

Ferland said the vehicle left the residence at about 3:15 a.m., and Mora attempted to pull it over on Perkins Road. The driver of the vehicle did not stop, however, until reaching Buker Road in Litchfield.

Shortly afterward, Ferland, Wessling and a Winthrop police officer joined Mora at the scene.

Ferland said the vehicle’s occupants were not cooperative and some provided false names and dates of birth.

Multiple cruisers were used to take the suspects to the Winthrop Police Department for processing, and then to Kennebec County Correctional Facility in Augusta.
