The 2022 UMA Student Art Exhibition is scheduled to be on view Saturday, April 9, through Friday, April 29, in the Charles Danforth Gallery at the University of Maine at Augusta, 46 University Drive.

The annual juried UMA Student Art Exhibition allows an inspiring window into the creativity and dedication of students taking UMA Art classes, according to a news release from the university.

This year’s exhibition, the first in-person juried show in two years, will feature works created over the past year, including paintings, works on paper, and sculptures.

Artist Tessa Greene O’Brien is this year’s juror of awards, who will select exceptional student works for awards, which will be delivered at the opening reception.

The reception has been planned for 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, in the Danforth Gallery in Jewett Hall.

The gallery in Jewett Hall is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
