BUCKFIELD — A local man was hurt Monday afternoon when his motorcycle slammed into a tree along Paris Hill Road.

Police said 47-year-old Brian McPeak, of Buckfield, failed to negotiate a curve in the area of 133 Paris Hill Road and crashed his 2013 Harley-Davidson.

Buckfield Rescue responded to the scene near the corner of North Buckfield Road about 5:30 p.m.

McPeak was treated for head and other injuries, which were not considered life threatening.
